Two additional Imprints from the one shown in CAWP5.

Of these three marks, the mark on the molding plane (Jo Fuller traits) seems to be the earliest state, the mark on the square the middle state and the GAWP5 mark the last state.

E Davis is a very common name and thus identification could be difficult. However, molders with Jo Fuller details and a Fuller & Field plane marked with E Davis as an owner's stamp should help constrain the identification process.

See Elijah Davis, carpenter, Westport, MA and Little Compton, RI and Ezra Davis, carpenter, North Kingstown, RI in the E Davis new information section.

(The presentation of visually based elements (scale imprints, scale drawings, etc.) is a challenge, especially when moving from the printed page to the realm of an electronic medium. For reference, the original GAWP 5, CAWP, BARS and SOJ publications had pages which were 8-1/2" in width.)
