Last name spelled Linkon in the 1798 newspaper ad and in the 1790 and 1800 census, afterwards Lincoln, including census records and his will.

House carpenter / housewright. Worked on the Wm McGray house. Also noted that the house Lincoln lived in, is now "called the 'Philip Douglas House,'" ... and ... "was built by Lincoln", HISTORY OF DURHAM, by Everett S. Stackpole.

"Nathaniel S. Lincoln ... lived in Durham opposite the old North Meeting House. He built the part now standing. The front ... was the house of John Dean and of Wm. McGray ..."  HISTORY OF DURHAM, by Everett S. Stackpole.

Others:

N Lincoln's were searched using the 1800 and 1810 census records. Aside from the two cited above, additional craftsmen have not yet been found. Deeds were searched for Barnstable, Norfolk, Worcester, Middlesex, Dukes, Suffolk, Bristol, Plymouth Co's in MA as well as Addison, VT, Rutland, VT, Durham, ME and Lincoln, ME.

A search of Bennington, VT remains to be done.
