Per GAWP5, similarities to planes marked J Perry is noted. With J Perry, three craftsmen were mentioned; James a chairmaker from Charleston, MA, James a cabinetmaker from Boston and John a housewright from Boston. James the chairmaker seems too early (ca 1736) while the two craftsmen from Boston fit very well as they were working in the early 1800s.
